NOT JUST DANCERS...
Cheryl Moeller - Owner/Director
At Centerstage we believe dance is an art form that provides expression, celebration, exploration and transformation for all ages.
Centerstage has been in business since 1988 and has had thousands of dancers over the years. Each student at Centerstage is a unique individual that we welcome and include in our dance family, helping them to find the creativity inside themselves.
Our goal is to provide quality training through caring, professional instructors in a friendly,
family-oriented atmosphere. We strive to promote strong self-confidence, self-respect, discipline, and appreciation through the art of dance.
We hope to inspire our community with dance performances to motivate, educate, and develop an appreciation of this fine art. It is through our mission that we will create "change" in our world's future through our dancers.
Rachel Lange-Skaggs began dancing at the young age of two (2) years old. Rachel is a Native of Walnut, IL and currently lives with her family in Princeton, IL. She danced at several studios growing up until ultimately finding her home at Centerstage Dance Company during her high school years. Rachel began teaching dance as an assistant when she was 14 and then on her own since she was 16 years old.
Rachel attended Northern Illinois University earning a bachelor’s degree in arts and a master’s degree in public administration. During her time at NIU, she taught at Storm Dance Alliance in Oswego, IL and Northern Illinois Dance Center in Sycamore, IL. She spent a lot of time at both studios working with company dancers and recreational dancers. Rachel has choreographed multiple award-winning routines.
Rachel is passionate about teaching and educating children of all ages on the proper dance technique and loves to see her students grow and prosper. Rachel is so excited to be back teaching at Centerstage Dance Company.
